Progress update - 12/9/14
In the lesson today i researched David Slade and made a prezi presentation on him.

Music Videos and Representation
Post about one representational issue in music videos. Choose from gender, age and class, ethnicity or region/place
In this video teenagers are represented as reckless and unruly. This is shown in the use of mis en scene because they main character has messy hair implying that maybe he doesn't care and the clothes are dirty following him being in a car crash. The camera work has close ups on his face showing his 'spaced out' look to show that he is likely under the influence of drugs which is illegal and so he is unruly. The main male gets into a strangers car which is considered reckless. The Editing in this video is very fast paced and jolty suggesting that he is disorientated whilst on the drugs. This video also represents young females as seductive and to lead men astray, this is shown in mis en scene and she is dressed in red and wearing red lipstick despite the odd location of the dessert and her action are trying to draw him in to her.
